Google Pay keeps it free for Indian users, start charging US users for online transactions.

Google pay has now withdrawn its free facility to carry out monetary transactions online for its US users. For every transaction now done, they would have to pay a certain amount for it. The fee charged to the US user would be 1.5 percent or .31$ whichever is higher. The changes would come into action from early 2021.

This news created a stir amongst other users too, However, for its Indian users, the service is still free, a spokesperson confirmed with the statement, “These charges and fees are specific to the US and do not apply to the Google Pay or Google Pay for Business apps in India.”

Along with chargeable facility, Google Pay has also withdrawn its web app and is now going mobile only, meaning it can be accessed only through mobile devices. A brand new version of the app will be introduced and the older ones will stop working from January 1.

Apart from this, they have also introduced few new features in early November for both Android and iOS users, these features were first rolled out in the US.
